Dr. Rit Varriale is originally from Schenectady, New York. He became involved in the Baptist tradition while attending The Citadel. Upon graduation, Rit was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.
In 1996, Rit entered the ministry and began his theological training receiving a M.Div. (Campbell University Divinity School), a Th.M. (Duke University Divinity School), and a D.Min. (Princeton Theological Seminary). From 1996-present he has served three congregations in North Carolina.

It saddens me when I still see most churches flying the American Flag, and if they do fly the Christian Flag, they relegate it to 2nd spot on the pole. What can we do to awaken these churches – regardless of denomination? Even my own church, has made no move toward such, and since I am somewhat a new member, I don’t want to speak too soon. I suppose one thing is to send this link to the various church’s email address. This way they have the information without having to get in a verbal conversation which could go sour.
I think a lot of churches are watching to see what will happen to us. The longer we stand and the more we are able to articulate that we are patriots and we love our country, the more readily they will join us in the future.
With out God we have nothing. This administration is at war with Christianity and all believers. Remember, Obama said those gun tooting bible bearing Christians! that says enough for me
I remember that. As a “constitutional scholar” he should have known that his disparaging remarks were directly related to the 1st (God) and 2nd (Guns) Amendments.
