To Obey or Disobey?

One of the things that amazes me about the culture war in America is the right’s willingness to follow laws that are unconstitutional, and the left’s willingness to break laws that are constitutional.

You would think it would be the other way around, namely, conservatives would be so committed to the “right-ness,” pun intended, of their cause that they would resist unconstitutional decisions by the courts. Likewise, you would think that liberals would be hesitant to break laws that are clearly constitutional because they would loose favor with the people.

It’s a sad truth that the left is more principled, by that I mean more committed to their values, than the right when it comes to fighting for what you believe. This is the issue I address in my latest piece with Independent Journal Review. Read it. Share it. Live it.
